Major Plus Swede
Major Plus offers livestock and wildlife enthusiasts high leaf yield and excellent animal preference.
Major Plus leaves are very high in energy and low in fiber.
Major Plus Swede is a highly digestible, later maturing swede noted for high yields and excellent disease resistance.
Major Plus offers extended grazing for all livestock classes and is well suited for dairy, beef and sheep, as well as wildlife.
Major Plus is beneficial when used to extend the grazing season as the cool season pasture season ends. Major Plus can also be used as a break crop in order to convert older pastures to different species and newer varieties.
Establishment
Plant 1/4″ depth.
Always conduct a soil test prior to planting.
Avoid planting in fields high in sulfur. Start by grazing for no more than 1-2 hours per day. Slowly increase grazing to a maximum intake of at least 7-10 days to allow rumen to adjust.
