German Millet

German Millet (also referred to as Foxtail Millet) is a relatively fine stemmed early maturing millet with leafy, compact cylindrical heads.

German Millet is usually grown for hay or silage as a short season emergency crop.
German Millet can also be used for erosion projects and as a wildlife feed or screen.

Establishment

Plant 1/4″-1/2″ depth.
Plant when soil temperature reaches 60 degrees farenheit. (In the midwest this would generally be the end of May or in June.)

Management

Harvest at 40-50 inches or when crop is in the boot stage
