Certified Organic Laura meadow fescue is an early to medium heading meadow fescue with an early spring growth with very good regrowth.
Laura is an aggressive meadow fescue, established well with other grasses and producing high yields of very digestible dry matter in all cuttings. Certified Organic Laura is noted for its: digestibility, high disease resistancies, wide adapatabiility and above average winterhardiness.

Laura is especially recommended in cold and wetter areas, where it has shown great persistence.

No chemical fertilizer, insecticides or herbicides are allowed in producing this seed. Genetic purity is maintained throughout the production and processing of this seed.

Establishment

Laura in best planted in the spring or early autumn at 1/4″ depth. Plant Laura in a prepared, firm seedbed, do plant too deep. Meadow Fescues do not no-till establish well or establish into competition from the already established grasses. Soil samples should be collected and analyzed well in advance of establishment.

Management

Lime should be applied six months in advance to allow time to react. Phosphorous and potassium should be applied according to soil test recommendation. Lacking a soil test, apply: N= 30 lbs., P= 70lbs. and K= 50 lbs./acre. Appropriate cutting heighth is improtant for plant regrowth. After cutting, there should be leaves remaining on the plant.
