Certified Organic Fleet Meadow Bromegrass

Certified Organic

Certified Organic Fleet Meadow Bromegrass is a very versatile, winter-hardy brome that is beneficial for both pasture and haymaking uses. Fleet Meadow Bromegrass stands out due to its earlier growth, abundant basal leaves and fast recovery after grazing or cutting.

Certified Organic Fleet Meadow Bromegrass was developed in Canada and is frost resistant, growing later in the season than traditional bromegrasses. Fleet also has numerous long, narrow leaves that are dominantly basal, meaning the leaves are more palatable and grow in a tight cluster at the base of the plant. Regrowth is much faster than smooth bromegrass which grows from tillers.
Fleet Meadow Bromegrass is less aggressive than smooth bromegrass; therefore, it maintains a better balance in alfalfa-grass mixtures and will not crowd out other grasses or alfalfa in mixtures. These differences offer producers a long term, palatable pasture grass with greater overall performance. Meadow Bromegrasses are not the preferred brome to use in waterways.

*Organic seeds and grains are grown by organic growers that adhere to the strict organic practices that are required by organic producers.
