Appalachian Kentucky Bluegrass
Appalachian Kentucky Bluegrass exhibits spring green up and advanced resistance to bluegrass diseases and offers improved shade tolerance and good drought tolerance which will result in a beautiful, long lasting, very hardy turf.
Appalachian is an excellent bluegrass in mixtures for conventional lawns and athletic fields.
Kentucky bluegrass is primarily used in a mixture along with perennial ryegrass, creeping red fescue, chewings fescue, or tall fescue.
Establishment
Plant at 1/4″ depth.
Bluegrasses need a moist seedbed for establishment and growth.
Management
Planting rate will vary dependant on how you plant Bluegrass-most bluegrasses are part of a turf mixture.
