AberLasting Clover (w/Nitro-Coat® Organic)
AberLasting Clover (w/Nitro-Coat® Organic) is the first hybrid cross of Caucasian and White Clover, developed by the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS).
AberLasting’s cross includes the benefits of a Caucasian clover’s rhizomatous root system and excellent stolon development and White Clover’s quick establishment and nutrition value, giving producers a long-lasting, fast establishing specie that grows high quality forage in areas where water may be limited.
AberLasting also has superior disease and pest resistances, even in clover root weevil infected areas; therefore, it is ideal for long term pasture grazing of permanent pastures, has excellent grazing tolerance, and can withstand rotational grazing as well.
A distinguishing feature of Caucasian clovers are their strong underground root system, consisting of a dense network of rhizomes and taproot. The dense root system enables Caucasian clover to survive drought and extreme cold. Caucasian clover spreads predominately via rhizomes, but may also increase in density by recruitment from seed.
White clovers are distinguished by their quick establishment, high nutritive value & nitrogen benefits and have many uses: forage, wildlife, beautification, erosion control and pollination.
Aberlasting Clover is coated and pre-inoculated with Nitro-Coat Organic (an OMRI listed coating and inoculation) for improved establishment and growth. Coatings are beneficial for better seed coat protection and are easier to plant. Inoculation is recommended when planting legumes.

Plant 1/4″ depth. An ideal soil bed is moist, fertile and firm.
A soil test is recommended for proper plant establishment and growth.
Aberlasting is pre-inoculated and coated with Nitro Coat Organic, an OMRI listed inoculant and coating.

Aberlasting can be planted alone or in a mixture with other clovers or grasses, unlike a straight Caucasian clover.
The use of herbicides are recommended to control weeds or invasion from other species to have a pure stand.
Management
AberLasting takes heavy grazing/cutting better than conventional white clover types and will recover faster after grazing.
